Our Kindergarten program is designed to provide children with the foundation for academic success.
Our curriculum builds upon children’s natural curiosities through hands on, project-based approach. This approach allows children to build strong academic skills, as well as, social and emotion development, critical thinking skills, creativity and teamwork. We provide a tuition free option for parents seeking a smaller setting for their child to begin their academic careers. Our Kindergarten Program follows the Broward County School calendar and is a full day from 8:00am to 2:00pm.

Enrollment Process
To enroll, start by completing a scholarship application through Step Up for Students. Once the scholarship is secured, fill out our school Enrollment Forms, ensuring you submit the immunization form, physical, and proof of age (birth certificate) for a comprehensive enrollment process. We understand the importance of a smooth transition, and our dedicated staff is here to assist you every step of the way.

How We Help Develop Young Minds
Guided Reading Log:
Research indicates that children exposed to reading early on demonstrate enhanced language skills, phonological recognition, and an expanded vocabulary. Parents play a crucial role in this process, as reading aloud establishes a bond while emphasizing the value of literacy.
Monthly submission of Reading Logs ensures ongoing progress and strengthens the parent-child connection.
Cooking Class:
Our weekly Cooking Class is more than just a culinary adventure — it's a holistic learning experience. From measuring ingredients to the joy of mixing, this hands-on activity reinforces basic math concepts, language skills, and fine motor abilities. Look for the "Chef's Helpers" sheet posted weekly by teachers to find the food items your child will need for the cooking class. Parent participation is welcomed and appreciated!
Family Projects:
Special Projects, sent home periodically, provide an opportunity for parents and children to collaborate on meaningful tasks. Completion of these projects and their return to school by the specified date ensures a connection between home and school, enhancing the learning experience for each child.
Fostering Positive Behavior
At Lil' Rascals Academy, we prioritize a positive and supportive classroom environment. To achieve this, we implement a clip chart behavior system that encourages responsible behavior among our students. In this system, parents play a crucial role as active participants, engaging with the daily color chart to reinforce positive choices and engage in constructive discussions about improvement goals. We firmly believe that a collaborative partnership between home and school is essential for cultivating a respectful and nurturing atmosphere.
